Both leadership and influence are inside jobs that stem from within. And often just within one man or woman.
Leadership and influence are generated from a single spark of one's thoughts, which become one's spoken words, which become one's actions, which become one's habits, which becomes one's character, which inevitably translates into one's destiny. Therefore, your thinking is directly related to your destiny. Change your thoughts, change your destiny.
My speaking engagements may have focal points (e.g. power dining principles, passing tests or examinations, etc.), but they all are meant to inspire leadership and influence principles within each audience member. For the sparks latent within each audience member are capable of helping even those who have yet to be born.
Money and wealth are OK goals. But they're minuscule by-products of leadership and influence, the principles of which each audience member will without fail walk away with.
First impressions are lasting impressions, which is why you want to have a positive one. From your initial contact (via call or email) to your first face to face meeting with your power player, each move or action needs to be planned and executed with purpose. Your timing, attire, table location, and initial handshake matter, so leave nothing to chance. Audiences will learn how these three things can make you not just likable, but unforgettable:
· Scheduling a power lunch
· Location, Location, Location
· Navigating your first 5 minutes of lunch
You passed the first hurdle. Your power player companion has accepted your lunch offer. You now have a time and venue for when you can make your ‘ask.’ But, not so fast, this meeting isn’t about you, it is about them. Audiences will learn the following conversation tactics:
· How to master the “F.R.O.M.” – Family, Recreation, Occupation, and Motivation – technique.
· When to talk shop
· Leave the politics and faux pas at the door
Although you are likely not dining with an actual king, you should prepare yourself as if you were. Audiences will be given a deeper understanding into the do’s and don’ts of power dining conduct, covering the following:
· What to order
· Your waiter/waitress is your friend
· When to stay for Coffee
